precept.concept.percept XVII. RESIDENCY PROGRAM
As participant composer, you will:
- Take part in a one-year residency programme and compose new works or workshop existing compositions.
- Have your work presented at the seventh Bled Contemporary Music Week, with a professional video and audio recording of the performance.
- Collaborate closely with ensemble performers and fellow composers throughout the year.
- Participate in score-reading sessions and rehearsals of your own works, as well as those of fellow participant composers, during the festival week.
- Present your work, reflect on your practice, and further develop your compositional approach through online sessions.
- Attend lectures, symposia, and concerts during the festival week, while networking with guest composers and residency participants from around the world.
INFORMATION ON NEWLY COMPOSED WORKS:
- Duration: up to 8 minutes
- Ensemble lineup: Ensembles will be determined after the application process closes and will be formed from performers participating in the residency.
- Score submission deadline: October 20, 2026
- Rehearsals: Each composer will have two rehearsals of 30 to 45 minutes with the ensemble during the live workshop in Bled.
